Kylian Mbappe scores twice as Real Madrid comeback to win against Las Palmas, going top of La Liga.
Fabio Silva’s close-range effort gave the visitors a surprise lead but Mbappe levelled from the penalty spot after Sandro Ramirez fouled Rodrygo.
Bramim Diaz scored at the far post from Lucas Vazquez’s pass to send Real into a first-half lead before an impeccable finish from Mbappe, as the youngster guided the ball inside the post to register his 12th league goal this season, sending Carlo Ancelotti’s men into complete dominance at half time.
Rodrygo slotted in Fran Garcia’s cut back in the 57th minute as Real went on to be completely dominant once again after halftime.
Benito Ramirez, the half-time substitute from Las Palmas, was then sent off under VAR for an initial yellow card for a studs-up lunge into the midriff of Vazquez.
Real is on top of the table as per the result, with two points clear of Atletico Madrid, who lost to Leganes on Saturday.
Real had three goals disallowed for offside, including what would have amounted to a hat-trick for Mbappe, while Enland midfielder Jude Bellingham missed a bundle of chances.
