Geared wheel up, Squid Game fans! Netflix announced the release date for the third season of the hit South Korean series. The series’ last season will premiere on June 26, 2025.
This leak happened by mistake on the part of Netflix Korea, which dropped a teaser video on YouTube that was promptly yanked, and the damage was done— excitement buzzed.
What Lies In Wait for Season 3:
Season 3 picks up with Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) in utter despair after the bang of a Season 2 finale, and the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) has other plans in this new installment of the show. The new season guarantees wild gameplay situations and even crazier plot twists that are bound to leave one sitting at the edge of their seats for the final end of this hard-hitting drama.
The Cast Returns:
Expect all the excitement once the breakout star Lee Jung-jae returns as Seong Gi-hun with Lee Byung-hun as the evil Front Man. Returning regulars also include Wi Ha-joon, Kang Ha-neul, Lee Jin-wook, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Jo Yu-ri, and Kang Ae-shim.
A New Game, New Doll:
Cheol-su, the giant doll responsible for taking the life of a contestant in Squid Game, shall be introduced in season 3 and was teased in a post-crediting scene after the finale of Season 2. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk gave out hints that Cheol-su will be a significant character in one of the most exciting games of the new season.
The wait for Squid Game Season 3 is almost coming to an end. Prepare to enter once again the world of bloody games, social commentaries, and tension! Will Gi-hun win, or will the evil schemes of the Front Man win? We’ll just have to wait until June 27, 2025!
